Special State Tag - California
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has donated this OPEN ZONE Deer Tag for use in the 2020 deer hunting season. This special tag allows you to hunt during the authorized season dates of any hunt, using the specific method and meeting any special conditions of the tag for that hunt.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has announced that SCI San Francisco Bay Area Chapter will be awarded one "Open Zone Deer Tag" for auction at the Greater Bay Area Fundraiser in Foster City on March 7, 2020.
The Open Zone Deer Tag allows you to hunt during the authorized season dates of any hunt, using the specific method and meeting any special conditions of the tag for that hunt. Any resident or nonresident age 12 as of July 1 of the current license year, may apply.
You do not need to be present to bid on the Open Zone deer tag and you do not need to be a California resident to purchase this tag. All tag and license fees are included in the sales price. This tag may be used only by the purchaser or a licensed hunter whom the purchaser designates.
Proceeds from this auction item are used for conservation programs by the San Francisco Bay Area and Golden Gate Chapters of SCI (5%) and by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife for use in their conservation programs (95%).
